Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

Week ending 2/08/2019

The weather has been classic Missouri weather with temperatures ranging 
from 70 degree highs in southern Missouri last weekend to single digits 
lows by Friday morning. The big problem this week came in the form of 
ice. Some areas have reported right at a half inch on trees and lines 
which is just not safe or good for man or beast. Many continue to look 
for hay as most farmers are using up supplies quickly. The supply of hay 
light to moderate. Hay prices are steady to firm. Hay demand is moderate 
to good. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory
