Week ending 2/08/2019
The weather has been classic Missouri weather with temperatures ranging
from 70 degree highs in southern Missouri last weekend to single digits
lows by Friday morning. The big problem this week came in the form of
ice. Some areas have reported right at a half inch on trees and lines
which is just not safe or good for man or beast. Many continue to look
for hay as most farmers are using up supplies quickly. The supply of hay
light to moderate. Hay prices are steady to firm. Hay demand is moderate
to good. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory
available for both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for a directory
visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of hay
