Week Ending Feb 08, 2019
More hay and bedding sales were reported this week. The bright sun drove buyers
out to search for both hay and straw, rgardless of the snow fall and driving winds.
Top quality hay appeared again, but in limited quantities and livestock producers
were willing to pay up. Producers may be forced to go to surrounding states to
buy forages and bedding as the supply continues to tighten in Iowa.
