Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report:  Alfalfa sold steady to 5.00 lower.  All 
other hay classes traded mostly steady.  Movement was moderate to good as 
hay continues to be purchased as needed for supplemental feeding 
livestock through the remaining winter months.  Wheat pastures in the 
Panhandle are in much need of moisture with none in the immediate 
forecast.  Coastal Bermuda producers in the North and East have pretty 
much sold out until new crop becomes available. Prices for hay and 
pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
