Compared to last week: All classes traded steady with moderate demand. A lot
of hay got cut this week that has been waiting for the rain to subside.
According to Crop Progress report June 3, 2019, In the Sacramento Valley, winter
wheat progressed well and rice continued to be planted. Corn and safflower
continued to progress well in Kings. Cutting of alfalfa continued. In Tulare,
Corn and cotton continued to progress well. Wheat, alfalfa, and oats continued
to be harvested. Silage crops were being cut. Hay is reported FOB the stack or
barn unless otherwise noted. Regions are defined at bottom of report.
