Week ending June 06, 2019
Compared to last week all reported forages sold steady on a thin test.
Demand was light to moderate. Most hay producers are looking at near the
end of the month before new crop alfalfa and mix grass hay will be ready
to cut and bale. Mostly warm weather across the state aiding in growth of
all forages and helping dry out soil for farmers trying to plant edible
beans, corn and other crops. All prices are dollars per ton FOB the
field or hay barn unless otherwise noted.
