Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report: Hay traded steady to marginally lower on 
light to moderate movement.  Rain across the state has continued to make 
hay movement difficult and effected quality in some regions.  Portions of 
East Texas have been granted a small break from the rain which has 
allowed farmers in these areas to begin bailing.  Pastures continue to be 
in good condition, which has eliminated the need for supplemental feeding 
for livestock out on grass.  Coastal Bermuda producers in the east have 
rye in some of their coastal due to delayed cutting and not being able to 
spay because of rain.

Panhandle/High Plains:
 Alfalfa: Large Squares: Delivered: Premium to Supreme 250.00-

 Small bales: Delivered: Premium to Supreme 290.00-330.00, 8.75-

 Ground Alfalfa: Delivered to feedlots: Avg 210.00-220.00.
