Week Ending June 21, 2019
New crop hay continues to be marketed. Depending on location, first crop hay is
showing a wide variety of quality. Much of that variation is directly related to
rainfall, either pre-harvest or during harvest. Livestock producers are willing to
pay higher money for both hay and straw at the start of the hay year, rather than
being caught short again.
All hay and straw 2019 harvest unless otherwise noted.
