Colorado Hay Report

   Compared to last week, trade activity and demand good.  According to the U.S 
Drought Monitor for July 10, 2018, 82.50 percent of the state falls in a D0-D4 
Drought Category compared to 33.16 percent a year ago.  Of those percentages, 
60.62 percent falls into the D2-D4 categories.  The NASS Colorado Crop progress 
report for week ending July 8, 2018, stored feed supplies were rated 8 percent 
very short, 25 percent short, and 67 percent adequate.  1st cutting Alfalfa hay 
progress is at 97 percent, 2nd cutting 25 percent.  Pasture and range conditions 
percentages are 23 percent Very Poor, 28 percent Poor, 25 percent Fair, 23 
percent Good, and 1 percent Excellent.  The next available report will be 
Thursday, July 19, 2018.  All prices reported are FOB at the stack or barn 
unless otherwise noted.  Prices reflect load lots of hay.  If you have hay for
