Colorado Hay Report

   Compared to last week, trade activity and demand good.  According to the U.S 
Drought Monitor for July 17, 2018, 82.50 percent of the state falls in a D0-D4 
Drought Category compared to 35.53 percent a year ago.  Of those percentages, 
60.62 percent falls into the D2-D4 categories.  The NASS Colorado Crop progress 
report for week ending July 15, 2018, stored feed supplies were rated 8 percent 
very short, 22 percent short, 68 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus.  2nd 
cutting alfalfa progress is at 44 percent.  Pasture and range conditions 
percentages are 30 percent Very Poor, 24 percent Poor, 25 percent Fair, and 21 
percent Good.  The next available report will be Thursday, July 26, 2018.  All 
prices reported are FOB at the stack or barn unless otherwise noted.  Prices
