Wyoming Hay Summary

Week ending July 20, 2018

   Compared to last week alfalfa and alfalfa grass mix hay sold steady. 
Demand was light to moderate from the cow/calf ranchers with good demand 
from out of state dairies and horse owners.  Some producers have had some 
hay rained on in the last week with other still getting top quality hay 
produced. All prices are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay barn unless 
otherwise noted. Prices are from the most recent reported sales. 

Eastern Wyoming 
Alfalfa: Fair to Good Large Squares 140.00-160.00; Fair Round Bales 
145.00. Alfalfa/Grass: Premium Large Squares 185.00-190.00 or 85.00 per 
bale, Good large squares 145.00-150.00; Fair large squares 130.00.  Sun-
cured alfalfa pellets 15 percent protein 230.00.  
   
Central and Western Wyoming
Alfalfa: Premium large squares 190.00; Good large Squares 160.00; Premium 
small squares 200.00. Alfalfa/Orchard Grass: Premium Small Squares 
200.00. Certified weed seed free alfalfa cubes 230.00-260.00.
