Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade was light to mostly moderate. Demand moderate to good on mostly
moderate offerings. Prices were fully steady. Demand from dairies remains
light to moderate at best. Some growers are choosing to hold on to the better
quality alfalfa for later sale. USDA NASS estimated the third cutting of
alfalfa was 25 percent completed as of last week with second cutting 85
percent complete. Drought conditions improved slightly but 27 percent of the
state remains under extreme to exceptional drought condition.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
