Alfalfa trade was slow to moderate. Demand moderate to good. Lower trending milk prices weighed heavily on dairy hay demand. The market was only lightly tested but prices were mainly steady. Limited supplies and offerings are limiting downturns in pricing. Second cutting is wrapping up and third cutting is underway in central and western counties. This year's alfalfa harvest is expected to be well below average. Grass hay baling is underway statewide but trading remains slow to moderate. Demand so far is moderate to good for all grass hay offerings. Yields are well below average statewide. Good quality large square and large round bales 160.00-170.00. Eastern Oklahoma: Premium quality 180.00-190.00 per ton. Few local sales small square bales 12.00-14.00 per bale. Western Oklahoma: Premium quality large square bales 180.00-190.00. Good quality bunk hay 150.00-165.00. Fair quality large round bales 140.00-150.00. Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Good quality mixed grass hay 4 X 5 bales 35.00-45.00 per bale, Fair quality 30.00-35.00 per bale. Wheat hay in round and large square bales 90.00-120.00 per ton, mostly 100.00-110.00 per ton. Mixed grass 80.00- 100.00 per ton. Western Oklahoma: New Crop: Wheat hay mostly in round bales 100.00-120.00 per ton. Eastern Oklahoma: New crop: Mixed grass hay in 4 x 5 and 4 X 5 1/2 bales 35.00-45.00, mostly 35.00 per bale.
