Compared to last week: Hay prices sold generally steady. Demand this week was moderate and supplies remain light to moderate. Market activity this week was mostly moderate. Interest picked back up this week and hay movement was better than it has been in the last 2-3 weeks. Interest in grass/alfalfa mixed hay and straight grass hay was good this week as cattlemen are beginning to search for hay to wean calves on. Dairy hay interest continues to be good, however prices remain flat. Grass hay sold steady this week on mostly good demand and light supplies. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
