Weekly Texas Hay Report

  Compared to last report:  All hay classes remained mostly steady but 
movement increased to moderate.  Summer-like temperatures returned to the 
Panhandle but fall around the corner has some beginning to stock up.  
Most of the wheat hay has been cleaned up for this year and farmers are 
now in the fields sowing wheat.  Coastal Bermuda producers in the north 
and east that were hit by the hurricane are drying out and some were able 
to get back in the fields; they have been delayed several weeks on their 
2nd and 3rd cuttings.  
   Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
