Weekly Texas Hay Report

  Compared to last report:  All hay classes were steady on moderate to 
good movement.  Cooler mornings had Fall in the air and buyers stocking 
up on hay.  The Panhandle remained mostly dry and in need of rain to 
benefit recently planted wheat pastures.  Coastal Bermuda producers in 
the north, east and south are busy finishing up baling their last cutting 
of the season as it was delayed by weather.  Most report plenty of hay 
will be available but concerned about quality. 
   Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.

Panhandle/High Plains:
   Alfalfa: Large Squares: Delivered: Premium to Supreme 180.00-230.00;

  Large Rounds(1200 lbs): Delivered: Premium to Supreme 90.00-
