Alfalfa trade mostly moderate, slightly improved over recent weeks. Bulk of movement consisted of Premium and Good quality alfalfa moving to dairies. Grass hay movement was mostly light to moderate in central and eastern counties. Supplies of Supreme quality alfalfa very light and supplies of Premium quality mostly moderate. Alfalfa meadows showing limited growth at this time and future cuttings are expected to have below average yields. Grass hay yields in central and eastern counties also below year ago levels. Abnormally dry conditions are increasing in portions of 20 western, central and eastern counties. Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Good Bermuda new crop 4 X 5 bales 40.00-50.00 per bale, 5 X 6 bales 50.00-70.00, mostly 50.00-60.00. Mixed grass 4 X 5 round bales 30.00-35.00 per bale.
