Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

Week ending 3/29/2019

Green has become visible to many parts of the state but feeding needs
still exist as grass is still a ways from getting ahead of cattle which
are eager to graze. There has been some field work accomplished this week
but forecast rain may put that on hold. Many along the major rivers in
northern parts of the state are dealing with flooding which has exceeded
all-time records in some locations. The supply of hay is light, demand
is moderate and prices are steady. The Missouri Department of Agriculture
has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers. To be listed,
or to view the directory visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for
listings of hay http://agebb.missouri.edu/haylst/ (All prices f.o.b. and
