Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade at a near standstill. Movement extremely light. Demand mostly
light to moderate. Buyers appear content to wait on new crop with current
needs well covered. Latest sales and current asking prices fully steady with
the past few weeks. Additional rainfall this week and more in the forecast
for the weekend improved developing wheat in most of central and western
Oklahoma. Green-up is spreading northward and alfalfa growers are preparing
equipment and making preparations for early spraying.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
