South Dakota Weekly Hay Summary

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

Compared to last week: All classes of hay steady on this offering.
Very good demand due to continuing low inventory in South Dakota. Warmer
than average weather is helping the snow melt but is continuing the
flooding of low lying areas, streams, and rivers in the region. Hay
transportation was impacted by closed roads from this flooding. Limited
inventory combined with slightly problematic transportation means that
demand will continue to be very good. All hay and straw sold by the ton
FOB, unless otherwise noted.
