Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report:  All hay classes traded fully steady as most 
hay has been contracted. Hay was only trickling out of the barns this 
time of year as the wait for new crop continued.  The Panhandle pastures 
are in good condition after rains and temperatures warmed up to kick 
spring off.  East and north Texas Coastal Bermuda producers were 
preparing to spray fields to get ready for new crop if the rain will let 
up for them to get into fields.  Prices for hay and pellets quoted per 
ton except where noted.
