Most hay classes selling steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa, grass hay and alfalfa pellets sold steady. Ground and delivered hay in the Platte Valley sold $10 higher, steady in the Panhandle, according to the USDA Market News Service, March 8. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.

Eastern/central—Premium alfalfa, large squares, $180, large rounds, $135-$145, small squares, $7/bale; good, large squares, $160-$180, large rounds, $100-$115; fair, large squares, $100-$130. Premium grass hay, large rounds, $100-$105, small squares, $160-$170; good, large rounds, $90-$95.
