South Dakota Weekly Hay Summary

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

Compared to last week: All classes of hay steady on this week. Very
good demand due to continuing low inventory in South Dakota. Warmer than
average weather is helping the snow melt and continues impact the
flooding of the region. Flood waters starting to recede as water flows
down-stream. Hay transportation continues to be impacted by closed roads
from this flooding. Transportation issues and low inventory levels
making demand continue to be very good. All hay and straw sold by the
ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.
