Colorado Hay Report

   Compared to last week, trade activity and demand light.  According to the 
U.S. Drought Monitor’s High Plains summary for April 2, 2019, aside from a 
reduction in abnormal dryness around Colorado Springs in response to decreasing 
long-term precipitation deficits, no changes were made to the map this week east 
of the Continental Divide, and the High Plains remained nearly devoid of drought 
or abnormal dryness.  USDA NRCS Colorado SNOTEL River Basin Index percentages 
for Thursday, April 4, 2019:  Gunnison 144, Upper Colorado 128, South Platte 
119, Laramie and North Platte 119, Yampa and White 118, Arkansas 141, Upper Rio 
Grande 146, and San Miguel, Dolores, Animas and San Juan 155.  The next 
available report will be Thursday, April 11, 2019.  All prices reported are FOB 
at the stack or barn unless otherwise noted.  Prices reflect load lots of hay.
