An increase in the variety of forage products was available all week long
across the state. Top quality alfalfa continues to demand top dollar and
some producers are willing to buy it. Forages that were considered more
middle of the range in quality saw prices drift lower. These lower prices
may have been a function of an increase in the amount of these forages
available as Iowa saw an uptick in the hay that had been stored outside.
Bedding still brought premium prices.
