Hay market trade activity is light. Demand is moderate and prices have remained
steady but there seems to be a softer undertone. The green up of spring can be
seen in the fields and pastures, although most fields are still too soggy to
attempt much field work and pastures are too short to turn the anxious cattle
out. There is still no news on new crop pricing, it remains elusive. Many areas
received snow over the weekend, some as much as a couple inches, but it melted
by the end of the day. If you have hay, feed stuffs, fencing materials,
equipment, etc. that you are willing to donate, please contact the Nebraska
