Compared to last week: Alfalfa hay sold mostly 5.00 lower.
Square prices were softer this week as many producers pushed to
sell the last of 2018's crop. With green grass coming on producers
have begun to feel some market pressure. Hay in rounds continues
to feel this same pressure and many producers have hay priced to
move. Additional moisture continues to be in the forecast and
producers are beginning to get offers for new crop contracts,
however, no takers have been found as of this week. All prices
are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
