Compared to last week: Alfalfa hay sold mixed with steady
prices on squares and weak prices seen on rounds. Demand
for squares to ship out of the state remains good, however
limited sales have been seen over the past few weeks. Demand
for hay in rounds is light to moderate. Supplies remain
heavy. Many producers looking to move rounds have started
offering them at lower prices. Spring moisture continues
to be in the forecast giving producers optimism as the look
forward to this hay season. Straw sold steady on limited sales.
All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
