Spring field work is getting done but not quite at the pace most would
prefer. Seems three or four days is about all that have occurred before
moisture brings a two or three day pause. There has been some hay wrapped
and some crops planted but again pace has not been record setting.
Several farmers are turning to grass now and are finally finishing what
was an extremely stressful, expensive, and long feeding season. The
supply of hay is light, demand is light to moderate and prices are
steady. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory
