Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade very light as buyers wait on new crop. Supplies and offerings are
very light. Movement slow to moderate. Some clean-up sales reported at steady
prices. Cold weather is returning to state for the next few days and this may
delay first cutting sligthly. Southern Oklahoma producers expect to begin
swathing in about two weeks. Grass hay trade and movement extremely light and
slow.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
