Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade very at a near standstill on light supplies and limited demand.
Movement extremely slow with just a few clean-up loads moving to clear barns.
Prices were largely untested, latest sales steady with last few weeks.
Most producers are now waiting on spring storms to clear to begin first cutting,
however a few have begun swathing. Thunderstorms and more spring weather
entered the state this week and next week's forecast now calling for more rain
and storms.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
