Most hay classes selling steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa sold fully steady. Grass hay sold steady. Ground and delivered hay in the Platte Valley and Eastern areas of the state sold with western Nebraska trading steady to $15 higher. Dehydrated pellets sold steady on a thin test, according to the USDA Market News Service, Feb. 9. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.
Eastern/central—Supreme alfalfa, large squares, $215, large rounds, $150; premium, large squares, $175-$180, large rounds, $90-$100; good, large squares, $150-$160, large rounds, $80-$95. In South Dakota, East River and West River areas, all classes sold steady. Demand was moderate in the eastern half of the state with demand getting higher in the western half of the state.

In Missouri, hay movement is light to moderate most sales continue to be to horse owners in small amounts. Hay supplies are moderate, demand is moderate and prices are steady to firm.
