Most hay trading steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa hay sold unevenly steady. Grass hay sold steady. Ground and delivered hay sold steady. Dehydrated pellets sold mostly steady to $10 higher, according to the USDA Market News Service, Feb. 16. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.
Eastern/central—Supreme alfalfa, large squares, $165; premium, large rounds, $90-$100; good, large squares, $130-$135, large rounds, $80-$95. Premium grass hay, large rounds, $85-$100, small squares grass hay, $150; good, large rounds, $80-$85. Cornstalk bales, $50-$60. Ground and delivered alfalfa, $120. In South Dakota, East River and West River areas, hay continues to sell at mostly steady levels. Demand was moderate to good overall, with better demand coming from the western half of the state.
