Compared to last week: Hay prices sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher again this week. Demand for Alfalfa is mostly good on light to moderate supplies. Hay supplies in Eastern Montana continue to help drive the market as cattlemen are having to deliver hay into that part of the state as available supplies are near nil. This continues to help improve demand throughout the state. Straw supplies are very light across the state. Light sales were seen this week on straw, however most sales were steady to 10.00 higher. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
