Most hay prices generally steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa sold fully steady to $5 higher. Grass hay sold steady. Ground and delivered hay in the Platte Valley sold steady, with eastern and western areas trading steady to $5 higher. Dehydrated pellets sold steady on a thin test, according to the USDA Market News Service, Feb. 2. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.
Eastern/central—Supreme alfalfa, large squares, $215; premium, large squares, $175-$180, large rounds, $90-$100; good, large squares, $150-$160, large rounds, $85-$95.
