Compared to last week: All classes traded steady with moderate demand.
According to Crop Progress report May 26, 2019, In the Sacramento Valley, winter
wheat progressed well. Corn and safflower continued to be progressing well in
Kings County. Alfalfa harvest continued. In Tulare County, corn and cotton
continued to be planted. Wheat, alfalfa, and oats continued to be harvested.
Silage crops were being cut. California rice planted was at 90% versus 91% for
the same time in 2018 and Cotton planted was at 99% versus 100% for the same
time in 2018. Hay is reported FOB the stack or barn unless otherwise noted.
