Week ending 5/03/2019
Field work was brought to a standstill this week as much of the state
received heavy rains and even severe weather in some areas. Although
rains as storms are not at all unusual this time of year the arrival of
May has many starting to itch to get work done. After the long feeding
season hay plies are low to non-existent and the need and desire to get
in the fields and start rebuilding is high. The supply of hay is light,
demand is light and prices are steady. The Missouri Department of
Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
To be listed, or to view the directory visit
