Compared to last week: Alfalfa hay in rounds sold generally steady.
Hay sales were light again this week. Most ranchers have turned out
for summer and hay usage is very light. Supplies of hay in rounds
remain moderate to heavy, squares supplies are very light. It is
getting close to first cutting in many eastern locations and producers
are starting to look at the weather forecast closely as they ready to
cut. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
