Week Ending May 31, 2019
Prices were similar to last week, but the quality of hay continues to drop.
With all the rain, the hay crop is standing tall. However, producers should
be nearing first cutting but instead are waiting for the ground to dry so they
can complete (start) soybean planting. States that ship excess hay and straw to
Iowa are also running low, creating more headaches for livestock producers.
