Most hay prices remain steady

In Nebraska, alfalfa, grass hay ground and delivered products and dehydrated pellets sold steady. Demand was moderate instances good from out of state buyers, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oct. 19. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.
Eastern/central—Premium alfalfa, large rounds, $115-$125; good, large squares, $176, large rounds, $84-$100; fair, large squares, $140. In Missouri, hay movement is slow. The supply of hay light to moderate. Hay prices continue to see some pressure and are steady to weak. Hay demand is light to moderate.
