Alfalfa trade mostly moderate. Movement was moderate to occasionally active.
Demand was good for all offerings, very good for Supreme quality alfalfa
which is scarce. Supplies and offerings fairly light. Prices were mostly
steady, instances 10.00 higher. Wheat planting reached 41 percent completion
last week, up 13 percent from last year and 2 percent above average. Some
producers still spraying for army worms. Heavy, possibly damaging rains are
forecast for portions of western Oklahoma over the next few days.
Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
